In 1908, the man who was not yet Lawrence of Arabia was 20 years old when he embarked on a tour of medieval castles around France by bicycle for the purposes of his thesis at Oxford. He wrote the first pages of his fabulous destiny throughout these 4000 kilometers, which David Dumain and Jean-Louis Basset followed 112 years later in Brough Superior, the fetish brand of the famous adventurer-spy who ended up killing himself on the handlebars. Through intimate letters, visits to historical sites, and encounters with characters such as the writer Sylvain Tesson, this road-trip takes us back to a rich past that goes all the way back to Richard the Lionheart. And projects us into the future of a now French brand whose links with England are written in prestigious letters with Aston Martin.
